Meet Ashley

I have been teaching group fitness since 2004, and have loved it ever since. I fell in love with Pilates years before becoming an instructor, and noticed quickly the positive changes to my body. I am passionate about the philosophy behind Pilates, and creating workouts that are functional for our everyday living. After having my first child I found a passion for teaching Moms, and helping them stay healthy with their little ones. I started a Mommy and Me fitness group called FitMoms and have been teaching weekly since 2011. I feel so blessed to be able to teach and meet such wonderful people! I hope you can make it to one of my classes soon!

I see the importance of a well rounded workout, complete with lifting weights, cardio, and flexibility. This is why I currently teach UJAM Dance fitness, Bodypump, Barre and Pilates.

I have a background in dance, aerobics, personal training, Pilates, and yoga. I am certified through Yoga Alliance, Stott Mat Pilates trained, and AFAA personal trainer and group fitness certified. I have been in the fitness industry since 1995, and have been teaching yoga since 1997. Yoga, Pilates, and overall fitness have been the driving force and passion in my life.

I realized that by balancing my body through yoga, I was better able to achieve the right balance in my life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My outlook on life was more positive, became simpler and less stressful.

My overall health and relationships improved, and I stressed the little things less and less. I found that when life seems to pull me in many directions, this reminds me of the simplicity of life. Just take a few deep breaths and cherish living in the moment. It has always been my passion to share my love of fitness with others, and opening my own studio is a dream realized in achieving this personal and professional goal. Thank you for coming and sharing this special moment with me!

Meet Erica

It’s been well over a decade since I attended my first yoga class at a gym in Vacaville. I practiced casually for years, then thought about becoming a yoga teacher. That is when I really connected with the yoga community. Previous to yoga training, in the summer of 2014 I completed a nine-day training in Somatics in Novato, CA through the Institute of Hanna Somatics founded by Thomas Hanna. After completing my yoga teacher training in Feb. 2019, I started teaching classes at Yoga Core Fit. I also teach private group classes in homes.

What I love to bring to the classes I teach is to encourage students to embrace their true identity as worthy, whole, beautiful beings and remember to enjoy the now moment, where life truly exists. Life often seems serious enough so I like to remind us to not take life too serious and have fun, smile and lighten up. I create classes that are geared to improve students in the areas of strength, balance, and flexibility or range of motion. I always come to the class with the intention that everyone will leave feeling better than when they showed up in some area of spiritual, emotional, mental and physical. Better and better… better than before. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new as I let my light shine and encourage others to do the same.

I am passionate about how yoga can affect change throughout the body and mind. I have seen its benefits firsthand in my own life, which inspired me to complete a 200-hour yoga certification in Power Flow, an additional certification in Unata-inspired Aerial Yoga, and become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Using playful elements, upbeat music, and a good sense of humor, I enjoy creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere to explore and recall the natural freedom we experienced in ourselves as a child. I enjoy the combination of the strengthening/conditioning, and stretching/restorative physical nature of yoga poses. Taking into consideration personal fitness levels, injuries, or problem areas and goals, my simple back-to-basics approach aims to provide subtle adjustments and encouragement to help you create a solid (and playful) foundation for your yoga practice.

Yoga has been a part of my life for well over a decade. I found my way to the mat without expectation; and it changed my life. Through all my trials and tribulations yoga has been a source of solace and most importantly introduced a source of community support. Lessons I learned on the mat helped me to develop focus, concentration, and determination. Applying these disciplines both on and off the mat has taught me to accept myself both inside and out.

My goal as a teacher is to bring others to the realization that practicing yoga, introducing breathe, and connecting with our body, mind and spirit brings a sense of feeling accomplished, healthy, and balanced. I have experienced the transformative strength of yoga that improves my physical and emotional health. I want to share my love of yoga with you. I look forward to seeing you on the mat.

My fitness background includes, dance, aerobics, yoga, mat Pilates, a variety of aerial art (yoga hammock, silks, and static pole). I am professionally trained and certified through Yoga Alliance

Health and wellness are a vital part of my life, and it has taken a focus on my own mental wellness both professionally and personally. I have worked with a community-based organization for three decades where my contributions to assisting special populations with barriers to employment has given me a front seat to how life’s challenges can directly and indirectly affect one’s mental state of mind. Not only have I served the community on a professional level, but I also am a special needs mom and I know firsthand the struggles individuals with disabilities face and how this can impact the family. Fitness, especially, yoga and dance has assisted me, my co-workers, and the population I serve as a catalyst to better health.

I also realize the affect movement alone can assist with the aging process. It is a known fact that movement is the key to living a longer, healthier life. Yoga movement, along with breath will better improve your mood. “Without breath, there is no life.”

I fell in LOVE with Yoga the second I tried it. After my very first class, I was hooked.  I had been practicing steadily for about 7 years, when I felt the light and realized I needed to spread this love to everyone I possibly can.  That is when I began my teacher-training journey through Yogaworks. I have met so many beautiful Yogi souls while exploring my love for yoga. I am always continuing to learn about the beauty of my individual practice, the beauty of sharing my practice with others, different styles of yoga, philosophies, teaching, and simply being.

I have been teaching down in the Los Angeles area for a few years, and am excited for my new journey to begin in Vacaville.  Sharing my passion for yoga with Yogacorefit is my dream come true. It is such a SPECIAL studio, and I feel blessed for the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and love for yoga with the Yogacorefit community.

I am honored to be able to share the practice of Yoga with our community! I began my personal yoga journey at Yoga Core Fit several years back when I was searching for reduced stress and a better way to take care of myself.

Yoga can help with self-awareness, self-acceptance, and overall strength of mind and body. For these reasons, I decided to become Yoga teacher and share this incredible practice with others.

I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019.  In addition to that, I have completed Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery with Veteran's Yoga Project, and Yin Yoga Teacher Certification with Yoga with Kassandra.

I believe Yoga is for everybody, all backgrounds, body types, flexibility, and fitness levels. I look forward to holding space for you in class!

Trudy

Meet Trudy

I began teaching group fitness in the mid 90’s after being given the “additional duty” of Fitness Monitor for my unit in the Air Force at Travis AFB. I was responsible for tracking and monitoring the fitness status of squadron members and assisting them in achieving and maintaining the required fitness standards. After going through the Cooper Institute for my personal training certification where I learned the basics of anatomy and fitness, I decided to become a step aerobics instructor. So, I received my certification through NDEITA. Shortly after that I received a spinning instructor certification.
Due to life changes, I took a short hiatus from teaching for a few years, and then in early 2008 I took a Zumba class and was instantly hooked. I was ready to restart my teaching career. I began teaching Zumba in 2009, and shortly after that, I got certified in Ujam fitness, Les MIlls Body Pump, Les Mills Core, Barre Above, TRX , aqua fitness, and Shred. I have a group exercise and personal training certification from AAFA and NCEP. In 2021-2023 I trained on the Pilates Reformer at Club Pilates. I taught Pilates Reformer, Mat Pilates, barre and TRX. I have taught in multiple gyms and studios in Solano County, and at the Travis AFB fitness center for over two decades. After retiring from my 36-year career with the Air Force, I have made teaching and fitness an even bigger part of my life. I am excited to be a part of the Yoga Core Fit teaching team and look forward to making new friends and inspiring people to fall in love with movement.
